Can you fit a chevy zz572/702r big block engine in a 1969 el camino?
Does it fit well and if so how? Is there room for additions? Does it make the car hard to work on because there is no room under the hood? As much info as possible will be helpful.

The front half of a ’69 El Camino, to my understanding, is basically a Chevelle, so yeah, Some came out with big blocks and I’ve seen it done with the 572. There should be room to spare, unlike in a Nova or other smaller car (I have no idea how they shoehorned a 396 into those Novas! The steering box is in a horrible place…).
It should fit, mainly because they were available with big blocks from the factory.
If you have an air car, the motor may not clear the A/C box on the firewall.
An engine like that will need a very stout transmission, a Strong rear axle, and some frame / body reinforcements. Many people don’t understand the amount of torque a engine like that produces.
Have you priced one yet? Be prepared for a big number, and start saving up for gas money NOW.
Yes it will fit like factory stock.. The outside size of all chevy big blocks are the same be it a 396 or a 572.. The el camino front half is nothing but a chevelle. Those came factory with big block engines in them
it will fit in the hole fine. you will need to upgrade the front suspension with big block springs, also you will have to make sure that the rest of your drive train will handle the new power (rear, drive shaft, tranny, etc…). You will also have to run new exhaust, which will open up another chance for performance mods.
