Nothing wrong with mexico engines. Chevy has been building engines down there since the mid 80′s targetmaster crates.

Just as good as any other chevy engine/block. A buddy of mine has a 87 targetmaster 350 made in mexico engine. It has over 300K miles on it, been in 4 diff work trucks in the last 22 years. Had 2 water pumps on it, and blew a head gasket at like 180K or 200K miles due to a water pump failure and where he was, he had to drive 20 miles with no water flowings just to get to a pohne (bad before everyone had a cell phone)
