Where to find crate engine that will pass in California?
I am looking for a crate engine that is handed in a position in the California laws and smog, it is a simple way to be an engine for precompiled CARB found? Where can I find one? In specific IM looking for a Chevy 383 or Chevy 350 doesn't have to turn-key but it would be nice if it was his

Most of the parts outlets that sell crate engines,all will pass
CA smog as they are designed to do so in CA, example Pep Boyes,
Auto zone, Napa, Tognottis Sacramento, etc.

I just watch a show on tv about this. They bought a crate motor.A 350. They had to purchase all the emission hard ware for the computor. plus new cat converters. but the engine put out a healthy 420 hp and was well under Ca standards.THe engine it self will not pass the smog standard its the emission controls system that in ables it to. this was a show called horse power tv. its on the net
