THE # ONE CYLINDER FOR MOST V8 IS THE VERY FIRST SPARK PLUG ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE MOTOR

drivers side of the engine, the front cylinder.

DONT LAUGH, its the one closest to the front of the front of the motor (closest to the bottom pulley) look carefully you will see that one of the banks is a little forward of the other.

Front cyl on left side( as you sit in the beast). Sounds like you ned a Chilton’s or Haynes. Your firing order would be 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Odds on left evens on right counting back to the firewall.

look at the intake right above any cylinder and there is the number of that cylinder

firefightingexpert @ 1:14 am #

first plug on the driver side if you look at the intake you will see a number of the cylinder stamped on it they will be over top the cylinder by the head

Ditto, first plug (nearest the rad) on the drivers side…., and of course the numbers are usually molded onto the intake manifold. (might have alot of crap in the way, or just dirt covering it)
